About Me

Scott Cassidy earned his bachelor's degree in Radio-TV-Film from Texas Christian University before completing a master's degree in Cinema & Media Studies at the City University of New York. Ultimately, he left incomplete his pursuit of a PhD in Film Studies with the Department of Communication and Culture at Indiana University in order to make media rather than just study it.

Over the past two decades, Scott has built a versatile career bridging creative direction, commercial motion graphics, brand identity design, custom apparel illustration, and video post-production. Based in the Austin, Texas area, his work ranges from creating co-branded merchandise and marketing systems for staples like Whataburger, Austin FC, H-E-B, and Kerbey Lane Cafe to running YouTube channel operations, livestream production, and color grading for commercial and narrative projects.

As a writer and director, Scott has helmed music videos and narrative shorts—including PASSENGER MAN (winner of "Best Narrative" at the 2020 Austin Spotlight Film Festival and featured on Season 4 of Amazon Prime's Discover Indie Film), BLACK FIGS, and the 14-minute single-take short A TEST. He is currently prepping to shoot his next short film in early 2027 while finishing the script for his first feature film.

Scott lives in Central Texas with his beautiful wife, Rachel, and is the proud father of two sons. Outside of creative work, you'll usually find him watching movies and television, hitting the tennis court, or playing a game of chess.
